"Kashish" - Autumn 2021

An homage to the traditional drape, a symbol of femininity, the gracious saree, till date exemplifies sheer glamour. From the film industry where the legendary Sridevi brought back the quintessential summer staple of chiffon sarees, to all the leading ladies in period dramas who adorned a rich tapestry of heavy sarees created just to amplify their roles - Today it is the millennial bride and the Gen Z woman who drives the sensibilities behind how sarees are designed and draped. They respect traditional weaves and patterns but prefer to add more contemporary designs to their wardrobe.

Seema Gujral couture has always had a feel for the pulse of new age shoppers - their requirements become inspiration for new styles and new collections. The latest collection of sarees is where traditional styling meets modern design. It is an homage to the past with a vision into the future. Each drape is a bold statement, yet feminine and demure. The patterns are inspired by blossoms and geometric shapes, intricately embroidered over natural shades to enhance the sheer finesse of craftsmanship.

Says designer, Seem Gujral, “I believe the sarees is the ultimate power statement. Celebratory wardrobes have changed dramatically over the years yet every millennial bride aspires for a collection of sarees in her trousseau. The only difference is she no longer wants only traditional weaves and designs, she wants something new and bold.”
