“Noori” - Autumn Winter 2021

Taking inspiration from the name itself, Seema Gujral presents NOORI, a beautiful curation of bright and shining silhouettes. Noori represents light and love. It is not just a collection, it is couture inspired by the source of life itself, the light within and the light around us. The collection inculcates the same intricate and traditional embroideries, this time combined with cutting edge patterns and modern design to make a collection that is truly stunning. 

This collection channels vibrance and elegance in the most authentic and dramatic way, with an ode to the season woven in, a juxtaposition of Winter midnight sky, deep and sparkly. It represents the eternal beauty of sequins, Swarovski, beads and mirror work in softer colours as well as in deep tones. The colour palette bends towards timeless elegant shades of soft sea green, mauve, peach for the day, moving on to gold, and midnight colours for the night. Noori showcases a more abstract and geometric stance on patterns, keeping with this season, it is more modern and contemporary. Pushing the boundaries of couture, in the celebratory couture segment, designer Seema Gujral has boldly chosen the colour, ‘dark chocolate brown’ to play with. This is a range designed in a very rich mocha colour, at times totally tonally and at times blending it with other midnight colours.

The silhouettes for the season are sleek glamorous blouses and voluminous skirts, which are most flattering on Indian shapes. Greater effects have been applied by the entire design team to elevate the fittings of each ensemble, so the wearer enjoys the glamour & wearability of each piece. Norri is the true celebration of love, light and life itself.
